Barb Richards, BSN, RN

Barbara Richards, RN, BSN, has worked in the field of Maternal‐Child Nursing for over 35 years. She has worked in the NICU, served as a public health nurse, school nurse, in labor and delivery, as a childbirth instructor and as a breastfeeding consultant. She worked as a Maternity Support Nurse for Highline Midwifery and Women’s Health Services, visiting with pregnant women in their homes in South Seattle, helping women identify their needs during pregnancy and establishing personal goals to improve their quality of life. Barb was also a clinical staff instructor for the University of Washington and trained instructors for the Becoming Parents Program, Inc. in Seattle, WA with Dr. Pamela Jordan. She did home visitation and education for the New Parent Support Program at Joint Base Lewis‐McCord and is currently employed by the Seattle-King County Nurse Family Partnership Program
